Opportunity description

The University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom offers Lebanese students the opportunity to apply for one scholarship award for entry to an undergraduate program starting from September 2018. The scholarship is a joint award with the university’s local representative, GlobalStudyUK, and will be awarded to the highest performing student in subject areas such as Arts and Law, Life and Environmental Sciences and Social Sciences.

Applicants must:

[1] Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate program starting September 2018, and the student must be entering the first year of an undergraduate program based at the Birmingham UK campus

[2] Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the program

[3] Be classed as Lebanese domiciled (i.e. habitually resident in Lebanon)

[4] Be classed as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship

[5] Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK

[6] Be registered with and have their undergraduate study application attached to the local representative ‘GlobalStudyUK’

[7] Students already registered and studying on a program at the University of Birmingham in the UK, and students applying for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Dental Surgery are not eligible for this scholarship

The scholarship award is for £3000 towards tuition fees for the first year only of a full time undergraduate degree program.
