Bank of America invites you to create dynamic design space for ideal on-campus free-standing pop-up banking experience for students during the beginning stages of their financial journey. This is in the frame of the annual international competition of PAVE (Planning And Visual Education) which is only open to college-level students involved in retail planning, design, visual merchandising, and branding programs. Students participating in the competition will demonstrate the will to innovate, redesign, and reinvent an actual retail design space.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. This competition is open exclusively to undergraduate college students.
  2. Students can submit as a team of two or submit individually.
  3. Each student must complete and submit an online entry form.
  4. Students from the same school can send multiple projects together.
  5. Entrant name and school name shouldn't appear anywhere in the presentation pages or cover.
  6. The design may be hand-drawn and/or computer-generated.
  7. Size format must be 8.5*11 or 8.5*14.
  8. A total number of submission pages mustn't exceed 14 single-sided or 7 double-sided pages.
  9. Entries will not be returned. students so keep a copy of your entry.

  11. Mailed submission must conclude:
    • printed, registration and disclaimer forms.
    • PDF version of your finished project on a thumb drive labeled with your name.
    • Make sure that all materials are together. 

Judging Criteria:

  1. Design Concept like Imagination, inspiration, and creativity 15%
  2. Space Solution like Traffic flow, fixture layout, merchandise exposure, and organization 25%
  3. Interior/Architectural Design like Style, appropriateness, colors and materials, fixtures, use of technology, lighting, and merchandise presentation 25%
  4. Expression of The Bank of America Brand like Logo color, style, signage, graphics, and integration of technology 25%
  5. Quality and professional presentation of work 10%


  • prizes include grants to students and schools. Winning students may even see their designs come to life. 
  • Winners will also receive a travel to be honored at the 2019 PAVE ceremony on December 4, 2019, in New York City.
  • About financial awards:
  1. First Place - $8,000
  2. Second Place - $5,500
  3. Third Place - $3,000
  4. Honorable Mention - $1,000
