Competition for Filmmakers from Moving Water Film Festival in India

The Moving Water Film Festival (MWFF) is inviting all creative filmmakers all over the world to participate with their films and compete within the festival in India. MWFF is India's first exclusive river- and ocean-themed film festival bridging the worlds of research, exploration, conservation and film making. The festival is a volunteer-driven, non-ticketed event. The festival invites short, medium, and feature length films set around a river/lake/ocean theme.

Categories:-

• Short Films.

  • Short films can be up to 10 minutes. 

  • The festival accepts films around freshwater (lakes/rivers) and marine content, its inhabitants and dependents. 

  • The films can be animation/stop motion, documentation, artistic/music videos or educational content. 

  • The festival encourages entries from budding filmmakers.

• Medium Length Films.

  • Medium Length Films can be between 10 and 60 minutes. 

  • The festival accepts films around freshwater (lakes/rivers) and marine content, its inhabitants and dependents. 

  • The films can be animation/stop motion, documentation, artistic/music videos or educational content. 

  • The festival encourages entries from budding filmmakers.

• Feature Length Films

  • Feature Length Films are 60 minutes and longer. 

  • The festival accepts films around freshwater (lakes/rivers) and marine content, its inhabitants and dependents. 

  • The films can be animation/stop motion, documentation, artistic/music videos or educational content. 

  • The festival encourages entries from budding filmmakers.

Terms and Conditions:-

• The festival only accepts films set around a river/lake/ocean theme. 
• Films may be submitted in any language. 
• English subtitles are required for all films that are submitted in a language other than English.
• By submitting your film to the Moving Waters Film Festival you grant the festival permission to use photos, film stills and excerpts of up to 59 seconds of your film to promote the festival online, in print media, TV, radio, and cinemas. 
• The festival does not offer screening fees.

MWFF is India's first exclusive river- and ocean-themed film festival bridging the worlds of research, exploration, conservation and film making. This two day festival will feature independent films from filmmakers around the world. Film screenings are interspersed with inspiring talks by explorers, activists, scientists and conservationists. The festival selection will also inspire, entertain, educate, and encourage active participation in ocean & river exploration and conservation.
