Competition to Design Tractors to Win 10,000 Euro from Valtra Company in Italy 2018

Valtra Design Company offers a competition for designers around the world to take the technology of the future and invent a truly multipurpose farming machinery, so they can show their vision of how the Valtra Multipurpose Vehicle will change the way we see tractors in 2030!

Your design should be based on these questions:

How do you think this ideal machine would handle today’s work and the needs of the future? Why would it be more efficient than today´s more specific machines? How would it handle soil cultivation, seeding, spraying, and harvesting, or will these phases even be needed in the future? How could it be designed for use all year round rather than for just a few weeks per year?

Criteria:

[1] Competition is open for individuals or teams (up to three members).

[2] Applicants who can participate are: Designers, academic design students, design studios and automotive suppliers.

[3] Relevance to the theme.

[4] Concept originality.

[5] Innovative, design value and quality.

[6] Development potential.

[7] Implementation and manufacturability.

[8] Design displayability.

[9] How well the design idea reflects the Valtra heritage and core product values: individuality, reliability and durability.

[10] Submissions must be the applicant’s own creation, must not be in production and must not have been previously published or exhibited.

[11] For group entries, members must nominate a leader and contact person.
