Opportunity description
The Kurdistan Young Leadership Program is now available for all the youth from diverse backgrounds throughout the whole world. The project is fully-funded with the support of partners and sponsors for approximately 150-200 participants.
Benefits:
- Participants will have the opportunity to partake in workshops, symposiums, and additional activities and remain connected with KYLPers even after the completion of the international forum.
- The project is fully-funded with the support of partners and sponsors for approximately 150-200 participants.
- The selected participants' accommodations, daily meals, and transportation services will be covered.
Forum Plan:
- Forum
- Partake in the week-long workshop sessions.
- Partake in international Symposiums.
- Partake in the additional networking and team-building activities.
- Post-Forum
- Participants are to choose a topic of their interest in the forum and make a presentation or seminar about this experience after the forum back in his/her local community with his/her colleagues and friends where they share the message of the program and influence more people in a broader target.
- Participants are encouraged to gather in groups and choose a youth related-issue and then develop a project for its resolution. The proposed scope of the projects should be around youth issues such as: Youth and Production, Youth and Labor Market, Youth Start-ups, Youth and Health, Youth and Society, and
- Youth and Culture, or Youth Environmental and Voluntarily Service. The submitted projects would be reviewed by the KYLP team and the participants would possibly receive the necessary support for its implementation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Participants should be 18 - 30 years old.
- Advanced or Good English Language and Communication skills
- Open to interacting with professionals and aspiring young leaders across the world.
- Have innovative ideas and well-thought-out initiatives that could affect positive change in the world.
- Have initiatives addressing political, social, or economic issues pertaining to the Middle East in innovative ways.
About KYLP:
Kurdistan Young Leadership Program is a multi-cultural and national platform for bringing together +200 youths to experience a week-long leadership development program; providing a platform for dialogue to experiment with new perspectives, with an intensive series of trainings in Public Policy, Leadership, Peace and Coexistence, Arts, Climate Action, Gender Equality, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. The content of the forum focuses on a specific theme that is discussed and chosen collaboratively with the kylpers in an effort to meet the participants' needs. The program aims to create a just and fair society in Kurdistan, where women and men equally participate in and benefit from opportunities. It works to enhance young leaders’ abilities to accomplish greater social impact through their inventions and innovations in order to create one united body to develop their community and make their dreams come true.
