Opportunity description
The University of Copenhagen in Denmark is offering a full-time Ph.D. fellowship starting February 1, 2021, in Quantum Physics.
The project involves nanofabrication using electron-beam lithography and other cleanroom methods, cryogenics using a cryogen-free dilution refrigerator, low-noise measurement techniques, data analysis and programming, interaction with theoretical physicists, and scientific writing in English. The fellow will work at the Center for Quantum Devices, a research center supported in part by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics, and condensed matter theory. He will also work in a Microsoft Quantum Lab that conducts research aimed at developing quantum information processing devices.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant should hold a master’s degree or a US undergraduate degree in Physics or Applied Physics with relevant experimental experience, ideally including published research.
Funding:
The salary is around 400k DKK per year plus an additional pension of 70k DKK.
