Funded Residencies for Artists and Opportunity to Attend Modern Art Workshops

China Residencies is offering the Young Yan Artists Residency for 2020, which searches for potential young artists to support them by providing room to inspire creativity and visions of arts through this 2-month residence experience. 

Eligibility criteria:

1. Applicants from 18-35 years who are working or studying or want to develop their career and conduct art creation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and with an interest and specialization in modern arts are warmly welcomed to apply.
2. Working studios and accommodation will be arranged for the artists in residence. They can also enjoy the facilities in Yan Garden such as the multi-functional room, meeting room, 2 exhibition halls, and cafe or office equipment such as a printer or projector upon request.
3. The artists will have the opportunity to hold an annual residents group show and even a solo exhibition in Yan Garden or publication of their research.

Funding and benefits:

The residency provides:

1. Each artist is provided with accommodation and working studio and entitled subsidy no more than RMB 20, 000 including living and work conducting expenses.
2. Experience-sharing activities.
3. Site visiting.
4. Workshops and open day organized for public education.
5. Assistance and coordination during the creative process.

Artists Responsibilities:

1. Insurance fee during the residency period (Health & Accident Insurance).
2. Visa Fee.
3. Any tax fee created during the residency program.
4. Expenses exceeding the subsidy amount.
