Grants Up to $10,000 from Banyan Tree Global Foundation 2021

Banyan Tree Global Foundation is offering annual grants to individuals or organisations that align with the Banyan Tree Global Foundation. You may only be a project leader on a single project at a time, so until a final report has been submitted for an active project, further projects will not be funded. Travel, equipment and supplies and lodging and food are provided.

Projects Topics:

• Biodiversity 
• Resource Use & Waste Management
• Climate change 
• Education 
• Health
• Culture 

Eligibility Criteria:

Before applying, please ensure you meet the following eligibility requirements:

• You are over the age of 18
• You do not have an active grant with BTGF
• Your application will be written in English
• Your project has local collaborators (if I am not from that location)
• Your project will start within 6 months from the application submission deadline.
• You may only be a project leader on a single project at a time, so until a final report has been submitted for an active project, further projects will not be funded. 
• Individuals are required to consult a tax professional should taxes apply. 
• Grants will not be split between multiple individuals or organisations.

Budget Guidance:

• Grants may request up to US$10,000 (including GST) but applications for amounts lower are welcomed.
• Funding is provided for project expenses for a maximum one year period.
• Institutional overhead is not permitted.
• Budget should justify why other sources of funding are not available.
• Budgets should be accompanied by pro forma invoices for equipment and supplies.
• At close of project, detailed financial documents must be submitted for audit.
• All original invoices and supporting documents must be sent to BTGF.
• Unspent funds are to be returned at the agreed upon date.

Grants Value:

• Equipment and supplies
• Lodging and food
• Salaries are not provided
• They do not assist with visa applications.

Application Notes:

• Applications must be submitted in English using the project form. 
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Projects shall not be considered in countries where Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts do not operate (please see this
  link for locations).
• Projects must align with one or more focal areas within the BTGF framework.
