Green Crescent is inviting cartoonists all over the world to participate in the International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest 2021.
Competition Theme:-
The Green Crescent is organizing this Cartoon Contest to draw attention to addictions in all the countries in all the world while raising awareness among the youth.
This competition aims at delivering strong messages about human struggle against addictions, which cartoonists from all four corners of the world will devise by adding humor to their cartoons, to the public through this year’s contest, which will be the fifth.
The competition also aims at sharing the power and effect of healthy life with the world and young people from the perspective of cartoonists. We would like to thank the outstanding cartoonists for their valuable contributions in connection with that topic in advance.
Green Crescent expects the cartoonists to focus on the causes of addictions, how they spread, their consequences, effects of the pandemic, and online betting and online gambling addictions within the framework of that theme.
Competition Timeline:-
- Start of Submissions: 15 November 2020.
- End of Submissions: 31 January, 2021.
- Jury Evaluation: 15 February, 2021.
- Announcement of Winners: 19 February, 2021.
- Award Ceremony: 4 June, 2021.
Prizes:-
- 1st Prize: 2500 Turkish lira.
- 2nd Prize: 10,000 Turkish lira.
- 3rd Prize: 7500 Turkish lira.
- Success Prize: 3500 Turkish lira (3 People).
- Mazhar Osman Prize: 3500 Turkish lira.
- All award winning artists will be given a plaque and travel and accommodation costs will be covered.

Under the leadership of Prof. Mazhar Osman Uzman, the valuable intelligentsia foresaw the threat of addiction 100 years ago, and launched efforts to create a healthy society and to promote healthy lifestyles, free of addiction. Green Crescent provides free psychological and social support to those facing problems with tobacco, alcohol, substances, gambling and the Internet addiction through our Green Crescent Counseling Centers, which operate in several locations in Turkey.
