Opportunity description

Strathclyde Business School is delighted to be able to offer a number of Masters Scholarships for September 2021. Candidates must be deemed International for Fee Status and Scholarship awards will be between £7000 and £10,000 and are dependent on subject area and course fee.

The Scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in both their Scholarship Application and their Masters programme application excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained); any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience and career development and who will contribute to the overall academic, cultural and experiential profile of the programme cohort.

Eligibility criteria

Eligibility:

  1. Candidates must be self-funded (ie. not in receipt of any funding from any other scholarships, employer sponsorship, etc) and already hold an offer of a place on one of our Full Time Msc programmes for entry September 2021 and also be deemed International with regards to Fee Status. 
  2. The closing date is 31 May 2021 and applications to be considered for these scholarships should be submitted by then. Successful candidates will be notified shortly thereafter.
  3. Candidates interested in applying should provide a maximum 1000 word statement demonstrating, through their ideas, experience and future career plans (including their reasoning for joining their chosen programme and why they should be awarded this scholarship. 
  4. Candidates will also be considered on the overall quality of their application and financial need.
  5. Scholarship awardees will also be expected to engage with a variety of activities during their course of study, including:
  • Monitoring and contributing to future applicant forums and responding with information regarding the relevant course
  • Taking an active role in either the social committee or class rep committee
  • Volunteering as an admissions contact for prospective students
  • Assisting the school in the development and management of events
  • Retaining alumni communication post MSc completion
