The United Nations Volunteers program is offering a volunteer opportunity for ESL teachers. The volunteer will be offered credentials to use management software or app to access open-source materials, links, and tools to upload syllabus, course, subject, video, etc., and manage course contents. It is 4 to 8 weeks. Graduates in this course should move into classes 7 to 8 for the university pathway as English for Academic Purpose EAP.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Professional experience in teaching at a University.
- Master or Ph.D. Degree (preferred).
- Authored online courses in Coursera, etc.
- Experiences in online course development, able to use SMS or LMS software.
- You have Experienced in creating courses, syllabus, curriculum Development, (link to your courses).
Main Tasks:
At the end of 2018, ASASS in Burundi devoted to solidarity, health, social assistance, and global development through education, registered a project for professionals’ development, education, and training of its national, regional and international volunteer staff, HR, and employees in Burundi, Africa and across continents anywhere.
The goal is to enable them to work in multi-languages, multi-cultural, multi-environment, and multi-projects addressing needs for women, families with low income, and children with special needs, and especially young professionals and international students across the world.
Volunteer work 4 or 9 weeks through International Foundation Year, the university foundation program designed to improve student’s English language and academic study skills before they begin the first year of their chosen degree.
Volunteers will deliver online English As Second Language (ESL) to professionals with various careers with the need for an English skill pathway to recommended entry at CLB-level 6-9.
