Opportunity description

The Egyptian Ministry for Youth & Sports is looking for 4 volunteers to help in developing its project’s "Tabadol" website. The website should be user-friendly and mobile-friendly. The website will support an online application. The content of the application has been created by the project team and will be provided to the web developer once they are ready. The application contains both categorical and non-categorical questions. The website is expected to include diverse features such as sections for posted volunteering opportunities, sections for volunteers to register their information, a notifications system for new entries and matchmaking, a feedback process, submission of recorded volunteering hours, etc.

Background and Objectives:

Tabadol is a nation-wide knowledge exchange project launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth & Sports. Tabadol seeks to:

  • Bridge the communication gap between experts and youth in areas where the Ministry’s training does not have a comparative advantage;
  • Develop a culture of skills-based volunteering;
  • Promote the idea of senior volunteerism; and
  • Create a network of professional mentors to ensure both life and professional experience, which is not feasible at lectures or training sessions.

The website will highlight the project and also include an online application. The content of the application has been created by the project team and will be provided to the web developer once they are ready. The application contains both categorical and non-categorical questions.

Requirements:

The website will be designed in Arabic and caters to an Arabic-speaking audience, the volunteer is expected to have working knowledge in developing content in Arabic. The volunteer must have at least two years of experience in website development. Candidates are encouraged to include examples of their previous work in the application. A degree in IT or a related field is considered an asset.
