UNDP Bureau for External Relations and Advocacy (BERA) is seeking the support of Online Volunteers to produce: Daily news scan of key development, political and economic issues (incl monitoring of news, social media, parliamentary debates focusing on development issues; Summaries of research and analysis on issues pertaining to partnership for country-specific themes; and Follow social media presence of key development actor (Development Minister, State Secr for Int'l development, Members of Development Parliamentary Committee).
Background and Objectives:
The Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy (BERA) is responsible for UNDP’s external relations and advocacy functions. The Bureau leads and supports the organization in cultivating, building, and nurturing strategic relationships and alliances that are essential for advancing and successfully achieving the mission of UNDP. Products will be used to support fundraising and help inform colleagues in HQ, regional centers, and country offices of funding opportunities and policy developments. BERA asks that on-line volunteers produce daily scans by 9:30 AM NY time every day (Monday to Friday). The daily scan should present key developments and links to relevant articles. Volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation upon completion of the assignment. Feedback will be provided by Portfolio Managers on daily scans.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Political Science, Economics, Public Administration or related fields. Knowledge of multilateral cooperation. Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent drafting skills in English. The German Language is an asset.
