Opportunity description

UNCDF is looking for Online Volunteers to help in doing a strategic review of a number of documents to look for references to topics UNCDF is working on or themes/initiatives that could be relevant for UNCDF and its work. In particular, this review will be done to inform the development of its next Strategic Framework, engagement in the process for the Fifth UN Conference on LDCs, and UN Development System positioning. Documents will need to be reviewed to capture relevant background information and identify opportunities for UNCDF to better understand and thus more effectively engage in processes and with its stakeholders.

Documents to be reviewed include:

  • QCPR (2 weeks)
  • LDC INFFs (3 weeks)
  • SDG Fund review of projects/proposals (2 weeks)
  • LDC Ministerial Statements (1/2 week)
  • IPOA review doc (1/2 week)
  • LDC Covid-19 SE response plans (3 weeks)
  • CDP report (1 week)

Background and Objectives:

UNCDF is engaging in a process to develop its next Strategic Framework. At the same time, UNCDF is actively engaging in ongoing UN processes. UNCDF would like to review a number of existing documents to better understand existing opportunities, priorities, and initiatives, and provide relevant information to inform UNCDF's decision-making on the next steps in these processes.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong written English skills. Candidates should have a demonstrated experience synthesizing documents in order to highlight issues of strategic importance.
