Poetry Competition and an Opportunity to Win Cash Prize £1,000

Globe Soup is offering a poetry competition. Applicants have to write a poem of up to 50 lines. The theme for Globe Soup Poetry Competitions is always: ‘Poetry with a Sense of Place’. Prize: £1,000

Competition Rules:

1. The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over at the time of entering. International entries are welcome.
2. All entries must be written in English.
3. Entries must be poetry.
4. Entries can be any style or form.
5. The theme for the competition is: Poetry with a Sense of Place. 
6. Participants are free to interpret the theme in any way they choose. 
7. Any entries the judges deem too disconnected from the theme will not be eligible to win. 
8. Entries must be no more than 50 lines (excluding title). There is no minimum line requirement.
9. Entries must be the participants own, original work. 
10. They must not have been published, self-published, published online or made public on social media or featured among the winners in any other competition.
11. Entries must not include photographs or illustrations. 
12. All entries are judged anonymously. 
13. The participant's name must not appear anywhere on the submitted poem.
14. No one associated with Globe Soup can enter this competition.
15. Entries can be resubmitted until the closing time. 
16. Only one submission per ticket. If participants want to submit multiple entries, they must buy a separate ticket for each one.
17. Clear instructions on how to submit will be sent to participants when they buy a ticket. 
18. At this time Globe Soup cannot provide feedback on entries to the competition.
19. Submissions received after the deadline will not be eligible to win. 
20. Participants must use the same email address for submitting and purchasing their ticket. 
21. The winner will be required to provide a short bio and a photograph of themselves to appear alongside the winning piece. A pen name or alias is permitted.
