Opportunity description

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides the Orange Knowledge Scholarship Program (OKP) and the MENA Scholarship Program (MSP) for the Radio Netherlands Training Center (RNTC) courses for media and communications professionals from a variety of partner countries. RNTC is a training center that provides training for media professionals from all over the world: from journalists and program-makers to social activists and communication professionals from NGOs.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You are a national who lives and works in one of the countries of the following Middle East and North African (MENA) countries: Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen,  Tunisia if you are apply to OKP scholarship.
  • You are a national who lives and works in one of the countries of the following Middle East and North African (MENA) countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria or Tunisia if you are apply to MSP scholarship.
  • You have an Employer’s Statement that complies with the format Nuffic has provided.
  • You have an official and valid passport.
  • You are not attending two or more courses at the same time

  • The MSP scholarships have an age limit of 45 years at the time of the scholarship application deadline
  • The OKP scholarships does not have a specific age limit but focuses on mid-career professionals. 
  • You must not be employed by an organisation that has its own means of staff-development, like:
  1. Multinational corporations (e.g. Shell, Unilever, Microsoft)
  2. Large national and/or large commercial organisations
  3. Bilateral donor organisations (e.g. USAID, DFID, Danida, Sida, Dutch ministry of Foreign affairs, FinAid, AusAid, ADC, SwissAid)
  4. Multilateral donor organisations (e.g. a UN organisation, the World Bank, the IMF, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, IADB)
  5. International NGOs (e.g. Oxfam, Plan, Care)

Required Documents:

The file format should be in PDF and your document must not exceed 2 MB.

  • Copy of a valid passport. The passport needs to be still valid at least three months after the submission date of the registration form.
  • An Employer's Statement. Please fill this out exactly as specified by Nuffic and use this format provided by Nuffic This document consists of two pages, both have to be filled in, signed and stamped with your employer's logo
  • A Government Statement, if applicable for your country.
  • Make sure to prepare the questions below so you can copy/paste them into the online application form. This motivation will weigh heavily in the selection procedure.
