Opportunity description
Beirut DC and Fondation Liban Cinema are pleased to announce that submissions are now open for the 4th Edition of Beirut Cinema Platform (BCP). BCP is a co-production platform for Arab independent filmmakers and producers working on feature-length documentary or narrative film projects, in development or in post-production. This platform aims at providing the project holders with the opportunity to meet with Arab and foreign professionals in order to encourage partnerships and co-productions. Each year, around 15 film projects get selected to be part of the in-competition section.
The 4th edition will take place in Beirut, between March 29th and 31st, 2019.
Eligibility
- The director and producer (if available) have to be from the Arab countries*
- Applications are open for projects attached to a foreign co-producer as long as the main producer is from the Arab countries
- Only feature-length film projects are accepted (narrative, documentary or docu-fiction films)
- The projects submitted should be in development or a work in progress
- For projects in development, the film should be the director’s first or second feature-length
- For the works in progress, an Arab producer should be attached to the project
- Filmmakers should have previous works (short or feature films, documentaries or narratives)
- Applicants are preferred to be able to communicate in English since some of the professional meetings will be with foreign experts
