Training for the Youth in Morocco: The Political Academy

The Youth Political Academy, organized by the Youth to Youth Initiative and supported by the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), aims to build and strengthen the capacity of 45 young men and women in the Khimissat region (Teflat, Khemisset and Almas) in Morocco through the following:

1. Training in leadership skills and public speaking.
2. Training in the formulation of political information and providing it to local decision-makers.
3. Organize a range of awareness activities and meetings with local political actors.
4. To conduct field visits to a group of institutions working in the civil and political fields.

Program Objective:

1. Strengthen and build the capacity of local youth leaders in civil and political participation.
2. Work to create a positive impact in local youth communities.

Eligibility:

The Youth Political Academy Program is an integrated, rights-based, representative of all youth groups and youth advocates who work to meet the needs of young people in their countries. The following criteria are required for participation in the program:

1. Participants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
2. Applicants must be living in one of the following target areas in Morocco: Teflat, Khemisset and Almas.
3. Applicants must be interested in collective action and able to create a positive influence on society.
4. Applicants must be active participants in the field of building youth capacities.
5. All participants must be fluent in either Arabic or English.
6. Participants must attend all the activities of the program.

Note: Those who will be selected in the initial phase will be contacted by e-mail and telephone interviews will be conducted for the final selection.
