UNESCO Event in Amman: Youth Open Day

The UNESCO Amman office is planning a celebratory event, arranged as a Youth Open Day and Networking event, to showcase the project’s main achievements over the past 3 years and to present various youth initiatives that fall within the project’s objectives and contribute to the National Youth Empowerment Strategy (2017 – 2025). As part of the same event, a thematic discussion and presentation on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Jordan will be held. The discussion will focus on the priorities of Jordan (as defined by the Government in the Voluntary National Review) and the importance of youth’s engagement and promotion of the SDGs. This will be articulated in the form of a discussion between the youth in the audience and members of the Jordanian delegation who participated at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held in July 2017 at UN HQ in New York. This event will be held at AL- Hunger Ras Al Ain on 7 February 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm.
