Opportunity description
UN Volunteers is looking for an online volunteer to support the communication team in the social media management of the organization.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Support with updating Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts
- Schedule specific, timely campaigns across all platforms in line with current events
- Support packaging social media content following content calendars on a weekly/ monthly basis
- Assist in monitoring and replies to Tweets, comments, messages from followers, under supervision of the Digital Communication Officer
- Assist in monitor analytics and produce daily social media reports
- Assist in publishing, posting and updating content to the website
- Assist in tracking and reporting website statistics using Google Analytics
- Organize Digital and web Assets and content calendars
- Monitor and report on amplified content through other social media channels (partners, UN agencies, ministries, UNICEF Offices, and other pages)
- Uploading videos to YouTube
- Under the guidance of the Communication Officer (Digital and Social Media), the online volunteer will provide support and contribute to Lebanon's Officer digital platform
Requirements:
- Candidates should have previous experience with social media management, excellent communication, and strong writing skills, savvy with social media applications and content management systems.
- A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
