Opportunity description
Mslexia is opening its doors for female writers from all over the world to join their Women’s Fiction Award for its tenth year. The competition welcomes stories of between 300 and 3,000 words in length (not including the title). Provided that the work has not been published before, and that it has not been in any other competition.
The winning writer will get £5,000, and the prestige of being published in Mslexia, a credit shared with writers like Costa winner Angela Readman and novelist Peggy Riley. In addition, there is the opportunity to spend a week in glorious isolation working on their writing at the stunning Gladstone’s Library, and a day with an editor at Virag, which could really help the writer take her writing to the next level.
