Architectural Design Competition and Chance to Win Cash Prizes from Nisshin Kogyo

Nisshin Kogyo invites architects to participate in this year's competition on the theme of the house of man. Proposals should be broad ideas that go far beyond what just a home is.

• 1st Prize: 1,000,000 yen (One Prize).
• 2nd Prize:  500,000 yen (One Prize).
• 3rd Prize:  300,000 yen (One Prize).
• Merit Prize:  100,000 yen each (8 Prizes).

Note: All above prize money includes income tax.

• All entries should not have been published or shown to public before in whole or in part including social media.
• Entries should not be submitted simultaneously to any other competitions. Entries submitted to other competitions will be disqualified.
• Competition entries must not infringe the copyright of any other works either in whole or in part.
• If suspicion of infringement is found, the winning prize will be revoked by the sponsors.
• The winners must not publish the winning works in any way including social media until a public announcement is made in the SHINKENCHIKU magazine.
• Copyrights on the entries will remain to the property of the entrants, but the sponsors will reserve the right to publish the winning entries in magazines and other media.
• Competition entries will not be returned. Travel expenses for attending the award ceremony are borne by the entrant.

Materials

• Use one sheet of thick drawing paper (like Kent paper) of A2-Size (420mm x 594mm).
• Thin paper such as imitation vellum paper should not be used since easy to break when opening the envelope.
• Paper mounted onto a panel or frame will not be accepted.

Drawings:

• All works should represent the theme just by drawings or pictures.
• Explanation in words should be kept to a minimum.
• Drawings can be block plan, floor plan, elevation view, cross-section view, perspective view, model photo, etc.
• You may use blueprint, pencil, ink, color, photos, print, etc. at your discretion.

Competition Timeline:

• Apr 01, 2021: Registration Start
• Aug 19, 2021: Beginning of Submission Entry
• Oct 01, 2021: Registration End
• Oct 05, 2021: End of Submission and winners will be informed of the results
• The results will be informed to the winners and will be announced in the January 2022 issue of SHINKENCHIKU.
• The exhibition will be held at the AIJ building in Tokyo Japan: Feb. 14th - Feb. 17th, 2022
