Chance to Win 6,500 euros at the XVI JESÚS NÚÑEZ INTERNATIONAL GRAPHIC ARTS PRIZE 2021

Corunna County Council and the CIEC Foundation are organizing the 2021 XVI JESÚS NÚÑEZ International Graphic Arts Prize and invite artists from around the world to share their works. Each artist may enter a maximum of one piece of work, in any of the graphic techniques: tracing, lithography, silk-screen printing, xylography, and their derived forms.

The following prizes will be awarded:

• A first prize worth 6,500 euros and an exhibition at the CIEC Foundation.
• The second prize, each consisting of a grant for one module of the Graphics Master’s degree taught at the CIEC Foundation.

• The competition is open to artists over 18 who have not received the Jesús Núñez Prize in the five previous editions or in any other competition. 
• Paper measurements must not exceed 76 x 112 cm and the print size must be a minimum of 28 x 28 cm. Thickness must not exceed 1 cm.

Required Documents:

The following documentation must be included with the entered piece:

• Artistic CV (no longer than one A4 sheet of paper).
• Information about the entered work: title, date, type of paper, paper measurements (height x base), print measurements (height x base), type and number of plates, number of inks, editions, and name of the printing workshop.
• Photo of the work in A4 size.
• Binding document stating that the author is the copyright holder and is willing to transfer temporarily the rights of the work for its exhibition at the CIEC Foundation were it to be awarded with the prize, as well as for its total or partial reproduction and its inclusion in the catalog of works selected by the jury.
• Binding document stating that the work has not been awarded any prizes prior to its participation in the competition.
• Formal agreement to the handling of personal data included in the entry form, in accordance with the Spanish law of data protection (LO3/2018 published on Dec.5th).
• Entry form including author´s name and surname, identity card number or, for foreign participants, passport number; date and place of birth; phone number and email address.

The Provincial Council of La Coruña is a public institution that provides direct services to citizens and provides technical, economic, and technological support to the municipalities of the 93 municipalities of the province of La Coruña, in the community autonomous region of Galicia, Spain.
