The Writers’ Mastermind invites writers of all levels and all fiction genres worldwide to be part of the 2021 Short Story Contest.

• 1st prize – $100 Amazon Gift Card or Cash and a free spot in the Writers’ Mastermind for 6 months.
• 2nd prize – $50 Amazon Gift Card or Cash and a free spot in the Writers’ Mastermind for 3 months.
• 3rd prize – $25 Amazon Gift Card or Cash and a free spot in the Writers’ Mastermind for 1 month.

• Open to writers of all levels and all fiction genres worldwide, excluding children’s and erotica.
• Short stories must be in English.
• Entry is free, and all rights to the short story remain the property of the author.
• Stories must be from 1,000-5,000 words.
• One entry is allowed per person.
• Stories will be judged by an anonymous panel.
• The top 5 entries will be published on the Writers’ Mastermind site and promoted on its social media and email list.
• Chapters and excerpts are not permitted. Complete short stories only.
• Previously published stories are acceptable if the author has the right to republish them.
• Failure to meet requirements will result in disqualification.
