United Nations Volunteers offers an online volunteer opportunity for 8 weeks which has been launched under the title; Communications support for the gender equality seal for public institutions. You will mainly work for 6 - 10 h per week to support and strengthen UNDP’s Gender equality seal for public institutions brand using social media platforms.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Support communications for the Gender Equality Seal for the Public Institutions initiative.
- Organise and run comms campaigns on social media. To include:
- Creating content, including text posts, videos, and images for use on social media.
- Promoting the Seal over eg LinkedIn consistent with UNDP’s brand and social media strategy.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, or related fields.
- Experience in communications and media work, including in digital communications and social media outreach and engagement.
- Capacity for strategic and creative thinking in global communication for gender equality.
- Analytical, editing, and writing skills in English.
- Familiarity with Excel including presentation of data in graphs and visualizations.
- Photo and video-editing experience.
- Computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office applications, Infographics).
- Experience in the area of gender equality.
- As well as English, Arabic, French or Russian language would be an advantage.
