Die Stiftung announces the start of application for competition in the field of rehabilitation research, the prize will be awarded for the sixth time in 2021. The prize is awarded to current scientific research work in the field of neurological rehabilitation of persons with acquired damage to the nervous system. It will be awarded by the foundation’s Board of Trustees on the basis of the recommendation by a jury comprising scientists and physicians active in the field of rehabilitation.
Benefits
If your research between the winners, you will get one of the following prizes:
- The prize money of € 30,000 that can be distributed between more than one winner.
- Up to five additional commendations of € 3,000 each can also be awarded.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, you must follow the following criteria:
- The work should focus on post-clinical long-term rehabilitation.
- Works that directly include persons with disabilities in the research process will receive special consideration.
- Submissions can comprise academic dissertations and theses, published project reports, book publications, and specialist journal articles in German or English, which have been completed within the past two years.
- Works produced under the responsibility or supervision of, in co-authorship, authorship, or with assistance from any member of the jury are excluded from participation in the research prize.
Please note: The prize will be awarded by the foundation’s Board of Trustees on the basis of the recommendation by a jury comprising scientists and physicians active in the field of rehabilitation.
Selection Criteria:
Your research will be judged based on the presence of the following Criteria:
- Interdisciplinary rehabilitation strategies and methods.
- Scientific effectiveness and efficiency (outcome research).
- Socio-economic effects: how these developments meet the specific needs of rehabilitation providers, funding bodies, and political institutions.
