Devpost invites programmers and developers around the world to participate in the Cyber Security Literacy Challenge. The applicant must create a game or project that helps enhance cybersecurity.
Benefits
$30,000 in prizes
- First Place:
- $10,000 USD.
- 30 min. virtual meeting with Secureworks team to discuss winning project.
- Social promotion of winning project.
- Second Place:
- $7,500 USD
- Social promotion of winning project.
- Third Place:
- $5,000 USD
- Social promotion of winning project
- Fourth Place: $3,500 USD
- Fifth Place: $2,000 USD
- Best Game for Home: $1,000 USD
- Best Game for Work: $1,000 USD
Eligibility criteria
- The Hackathon is open to individuals who are at least the age of majority in their place of residence as well as to teams and organizations including corporations, non-profit corporations, other non-profit organizations, LLCs, partnerships and other legal entities.
- An Eligible Individual may join more than one Team or Organization and an Eligible Individual who is part of a Team or Organization may also enter the Hackathon on an individual basis.
- Residents of any country, state, or territory subject to US sanctions are not eligible to participate, such as Cuba, Sudan, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.
- Organizations involved with the design, production, paid promotion, execution, or distribution of the Hackathon, including the Sponsor and Administrator are not eligible.
- Participation is not open to anyone involved in the design, production, promotion, implementation or distribution of the hackathon, and any member of their immediate family.
- Be the original work of the submitter, be solely owned by the submitter, and not violate the IP rights of any other person or entity.
Judging Criteria:
- Quality of the Idea: Includes creativity and originality of the idea and the quality of the educational content built into the solution.
- Implementation of the Idea: Includes how well the solution was executed by the developer and the ease of the user experience.
- Potential Impact: Includes the extent to which the solution can educate and entertain the most end users.
