DevRev Hackathon for Programmers and Prizes Up to $30,000 from Devpost

Devpost invites programmers and developers around the world to participate in the DevRev Hackathon which is about using AI to code and automate Developer tasks. The participant must build a solution that improves the everyday tasks of developers in the form of the VSCode extension.

The hackathon has a total prize pool of $30000

• The Hackathon is open to enterprise developers, gaming developers, data scientists, cloud developers, client managers/engineers, as well as UX designers. Those who are skilled and interested in kubernetes, AI/ML, containerization cloud, serverless, application development, scaling, docker, and IoT are encouraged to participate as well.
• Employees, consultants, officers and directors of DevRev, related entities, and/or the judges, along with their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
• Each participant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Residents of any country, state, or territory subject to US sanctions are not eligible to participate, such as Cuba, Sudan, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.
• You may compete on a team of one to four participants.
• An Eligible Individual may join more than one Team or Organization and an Eligible Individual who is part of a Team or Organization may also enter the Hackathon on an individual basis. If a team with a non-eligible member win, the prize money will be distributed to only the eligible team members.
• Organizations involved with the design, production, paid promotion, execution, or distribution of the Hackathon, including the Sponsor and Administrator are not eligible.
• Participation is not open to anyone involved in the design, production, promotion, implementation or distribution of the hackathon, and any member of their immediate family.
• Be the original work of the submitter, be solely owned by the submitter, and not violate the IP rights of any other person or entity.
• An Entrant may submit more than one Submission, however, each submission must be unique and substantially different from each of the Entrant’s other Submissions, as determined by the Sponsor and Devpost in their sole discretion.

Judging Criteria:

• Completeness and Accuracy: Does the extension work? Does it accurately follow the instructions and convert to code and actions?
• User Experience: How easy is it to use the extension? Is using the extension an enjoyable experience for the developers?
• Creativity: How well have the resources been utilized? Did the team use other useful free resources? Did the team add additional useful features?
• Documentation: Does the team have thorough documentation of code, features and usage?

Timeline:

• Start of Hacking: November 1st, 2021
• Deadline for Submissions:  31st March, 2022
• Internal Voting Period: 31st March, 2022 to 7th April, 2022
• Public Voting Period: 3rd April, 2021 to 11th April 2022
• Live Presentation (top 3) [in front of judges]: 12th April 2022
• Announcement of Winners: 14th April
