Opportunity description
UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity in the field of writing and editing. The WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies in Istanbul, Turkiye, is looking for one online volunteer for 1 week to edit an annual progress report of 17 pages, with experience in editing, writing, and publishing.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Edit an annual progress report of 17 pages and finalize it for publishing.
- Ensure copyediting follows the consistency of WHO style and writing guidelines for publications, to be provided by the Centre.
Please note: You will have a chance to learn more on the activities conducted by WHO in the European Region to strengthen the Member States' preparedness for humanitarian and health emergencies while supporting the team firsthand.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Experience in writing and editing reports.
- Demonstrated ability to edit and proofread technical documents.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Ability to work 6 - 10 hours per week.
