FIRECULT is calling for applications for its International Collaborative Research Residencies in Ireland, Turkey and Italy. This residency aims to support collaborative work between artists and creatives from different fields and artistic and cultural practices. Three individuals will be selected to participate in this residency.
The residency can take place in Ireland, Turkey or Italy, and the residency offers an opportunity to collaborate with other creators and residents in the host country and throughout Europe. Participants will receive professional assistance from the FIRECULT team and partner organisations in the host country.
The residency focuses on topics related to climate, environment and society.
Eligibility criteria
Eligible applicants for the FIRECULT (Wildfire Resilient Cultural Heritage) project include:
- Artists: The project is specifically seeking three artists to work in the case study areas of Ireland, Turkey, and Italy.
- Interest in Wildfires, Community, and Cultural Heritage: Artists should be interested in exploring the relationship between wildfires, community, and cultural heritage through their work.
- Ability to Collaborate: Applicants should be able to work with academic and local partners in the designated regions.
- Engagement in Artistic Research: Artists should be engaged in artistic research, as the project focuses on exploring these themes through creative and research-based activities.
There may be additional specific criteria set by the research partners, but the general eligibility revolves around being an artist interested in the project’s thematic focus and willing to collaborate in an international context.
