Bayer offers a grant to South African women entrepreneurs with start-ups in the field of health or nutrition. With the Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award 2022, they aim to reward female entrepreneurs as inspirational models, and foster the brightest minds to provide impactful solutions for sub-Saharan African’s challenges in health and agriculture.

Eligibility criteria
- There needs to be at least one woman among the founders of the organization/startup/association.
- Applying startups need to be in the domain of Health and/or nutrition.
- They need to have customers/users already.
- The participant must have a good level of English to be able to pitch their project to Bayer Foundation and to communicate with them about future scaling opportunities if they win.
- The activity of the organization or start-up must be in Sub-Saharan Africa.
