Hackathon To the Future 4 for Programmers and Prizes up to $349,400 from Devpost

Devpost invites programmers, data scientists and designers all over the world to participate in the Hackathon To the Future 4 dedicated to financial technology.

Categories:

The Hackathon has three different categories:

Category 1: ‘IDEA’

• Participants within Category 1 include: developers, data-scientists, designers and business experts from banks, consultancies, students, fintechs, etc.
• Submission format of Category 1 includes: a business plan with pitch video.

Category 2: ‘BUILD’

• Participants within Category 2 include: developers, data-scientists, designers and business experts from banks, consultancies, students, fintechs, etc.
• Submission format of Category 2 includes: a working prototype with demo video. At the Entrants discretion, this code can be submitted on Github.

Category 3: ‘SHOWCASE’

• Participants within Category 3 include: fintechs (start-ups and scale-ups), financial institutions, consulting firms, etc.
• Submission format of Category 3: existing apps with a presentation/showcase video.

Category 4: ‘YOUTH’

• Participants within Category 4 include: children and teenagers (10-18 years old as of the commencement date of the Hackathon).

• Category 1 'IDEA': 40% scholarship to LEADTECH Global Executive MBA worth €16800 (€25200 instead of €42000) from Ecole des Ponts Business School. Available scholarships: 5 seats
• Category 1 'IDEA': 40% scholarship to the Executive DBA program worth €19960 (€29940 instead of €49900) from Ecole des Ponts Business School. Available scholarships: 5 seats.
• Category 2 'BUILD': Guidance and mentorship from Finastra's Distinguished Engineers as you bring your solution to life, in the form of bi-weekly design and implementation consulting sessions for 3 months.
• Category 2 'BUILD': A media interview with Finextra TV
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Sustainable & Inclusive Finance: $5,000 cash prize from Finastra
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Sustainable & Inclusive Finance: $1,000 worth of trees from Finastra/Ecotree
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Sustainable & Inclusive Finance: 3-month paid internship from Etiq.AI
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Sustainable & Inclusive Finance: 2-week consultancy work from Etiq.AI to evaluate their AI data/models and test for ML issues & risks
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Sustainable & Inclusive Finance: Full Scholarship (100%) for the 'Circular Economy Expert' Certificate, from the Circular Economy Alliance
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Embedded Finance: $5,000 cash prize from Finastra
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Embedded Finance: Surface Earbuds from Microsoft
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Embedded Finance: iPads from aixigo
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Decentralized Finance: $10,000 cash prize from Chainlink
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Decentralized Finance: $2,500 worth of crypto, split in USDc and Factr tokens from Defactor
• Category 2 'BUILD' - Decentralized Finance: Incubation opportunity with Capgemini
• Category 3 'SHOWCASE': Waiving the FusionFabric.cloud certification fees
• Category 3 'SHOWCASE': Special support on Go-to-Market from Finastra experts
• Category 3 'SHOWCASE': Special promotion of your app on FusionFabric.cloud
• Category 3 'SHOWCASE' - Best Women-led Fintech: A media interview with Finextra TV for the best Women-led Fintech

• Categories 1, 2 and 3 are open to: Individuals who are at least the age of eighteen (18) as of the commencement date of the Hackathon.
• Residents of any country, state, or territory subject to US sanctions are not eligible to participate, such as Cuba, Sudan, Iran, North Korea, and Syria.

All submissions must align with at least ONE of the Hackathon’s

• Theme 1: Sustainable and inclusive finance
• Theme 2: Embedded finance and banking-as-a-service
• Theme 3: Decentralized finance
