Hamdan-ALECSO Award for Arab Educational Researchers with a Value of $25000 from ALECSO

The Hamdan - ALECSO Award for Excellence in Educational Research - which was launched within the framework of the strategic partnership between His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) in 2021 - invites distinguished Arab researchers to participate and receive prizes amounting to 100,000 US dollars . The award seeks to discover and encourage distinguished Arab educational researchers, introduce them, and disseminate practices among those concerned in the educational field to benefit from them, in addition to enriching and enriching the Arab educational library with distinguished research according to international standards to occupy its place among the international awards.

About the Award:-

• Award Objectives:
• Encouraging and introducing educational researchers working in the educational field in the Arab world.
• Discovering and disseminating successful educational practices, and addressing educational problems.
• Nurturing the creative and talented in the field of educational research.
• Motivating educational researchers to produce distinguished works that serve the educational process.
• Enriching the educational field with successful educational experiences.
• Targeted Research: This award targets all outstanding educational research (applied or otherwise). This award also aims to:
• Research that documents distinguished educational experiences in the educational field on a large scale.
• Distinguished survey research that is concerned with collecting data to test hypotheses or questions related to a specific topic or issue that benefit the educational field.
• Awareness research and content analysis research.
• Comparative causal research.
• Correlational research, whether simple or multiple correlational research.
• Pathfinding research and others.
• Target researchers.
• A researcher or a group of educational researchers working in the educational field, such as: a teacher, school principal, social worker, psychologist or university professor.

• The total prize money is $100,000.
• The winner will be awarded a cash reward of $25,000, or equivalent.
• The winning research is published in a specialized periodical publication issued by the Foundation.

• First: conditions related to researchers
• The researcher must be a citizen of an Arab country.
• The researcher may participate in the award annually if he has not won in the last 5 cycles.
• The researcher is committed to making the modifications that the arbitrators may recommend in the event of his nomination to win the award.
• A researcher may not participate in more than one research as a lead researcher.
• The researcher should be one of those working in the educational field, or jointly with one of the workers in the educational field.
• Second: Conditions related to the research:
• The researcher must adhere to the scientific method recognized in scientific research.
• The research should provide a distinct experience that may contribute to providing solutions or recommendations that benefit the educational field.
• Discovering and disseminating successful educational practices, and addressing educational problems.
• The research should range between (25-30 pages) in A4 size, and the font size should be Simplified Arabic 12, and this includes the research appendices.
• The researcher should follow well-known scientific documentation procedures according to the APA method.
• The research should be written in Standard Arabic.
• The search file must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
• The research should be free of all typographical, grammatical, spelling and other errors.
• That the researcher bears professional and ethical responsibility towards others in the event that his research is accepted and published by the institution’s management.
• The submitted research must not be extracted directly or indirectly from my master's or doctoral theses.
• The research should not have won an award or other academic degree, and it should not have been previously published or presented at a conference, symposium, or competition, or submitted to any other party.
• That the research includes recommendations that achieve scientific and practical benefit from it.
• References should be properly documented.
• That the researcher's personal data be limited only to the first page of the research.
• The winning research is considered the property of the Foundation and it has the right to dispose of it.
• The award shall be withdrawn from the winner if it is later found that the winning research was extracted from a scientific thesis, or a previous award was received for it, or other than the researcher’s work, or had previously been published, or presented at a conference, symposium, or competition, or submitted to any other body. The award has the right to prosecute the researcher to recover the financial and moral value he won.

About ALECSO:-

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is a Tunis-based specialized institution working under the umbrella of the League of Arab States. It is essentially concerned with the development and coordination of the activities related to education, culture and sciences in the Arab World. It was established by virtue of Article 3 of the Arab Cultural Unity Charter, and was officially announced in Cairo on July 25, 1970.
