Opportunity description
Hacker Earth invites programmers and startups to an online workshop opportunity and a competition entitled; HCL HACK IITK 2021. The competition runs this time about a topic; the cyber security challenges, that you should to take by participating in the hackathon. You will have the chance to get to attend Webinars by Industry experts as well as help you develop skills on basics of cybersecurity and get certified.
Hackathon Rounds:
Qualifying Round:
- Qualifying Round is an Online test of approximately 3 hours in duration.
- Every team must clear the qualifying test to proceed to the next round.
- A team can make up to 3 attempts, the best of all the attempts is taken for qualification.
Submission Round:
The Submission Round has two mutually exclusive tracks:
- Programming Track:
- The teams will solve two practical cybersecurity challenges.
- The team will download the data from designated location and will work offline for finding the solutions.
- Startup Track:
- Every team will be required to submit the proposal for their startup in a pre -designated format.
Presentations Round:
- Short listed teams of both the tracks will make a presentation to the Jury of respective tracks.

- First Prize: 31,800 USD.
- Second Prize: 15,900 USD.
- Third Prize: 9533 USD.
Startup Track
- First Prize:
- 31,800 USD + $5,000.
- cloud credit.

- 15,900 USD + $5,000.
- Cloud credit.
- Third Prize:
- 9533 USD + $ 5,000.
- Cloud credit.
- All Startup Winners: Incubation benefits worth 28,924 USD.

Eligibility criteria
- You must follow these terms:
- The Hackathon is open to:
- all college students and graduates
- employed professional
- Startups and would be Startups in Cyber Security domain.
- Participants must apply singly or as a team of 2 or 3.
- The Team Leader is responsible to register other team members if any and choose a unique name for the Team.
- The Team leader represents the team and is fully responsible for their own and will ensure compliance of hackathon rules.
- Any act of Cheating or plagiarism would lead to summary exit of the team from the hackathon.
- Teams cannot be made or changed during the competition.
- For international participants equivalent amount in USD will be transferred to team leader after deduction of applicable taxes.
