Instructables' Summer Fun with Prizes Worth of $2500

Instructables.com has launched a new student design challenge under the theme of "Summer Fun", and everyone with creative mind is invited to take part. 

Summer is here! It’s time for beach days, camping trips, cookouts, relaxing at home, and of course design!

We want to see your design for a new innovative product using Fusion 360, for whatever activity you're looking forward to this summer. Your design should help you get the most out of your summer fun!

Communication:

• Join us on Discord to receive the following benefits:
• Answers to all of your contest and Fusion 360 related questions.
• Learn from other contestants and Autodesk staff while designing a fun project.

Fusion 360 workshops and office hours provided to facilitate learning:

• Intro to Fusion Workshop: July 8th, 1-2 PM
• Intermediate Fusion Workshop: July 14th, 4-5 PM
• Mid-term Review Session: July 21st, 1-2 PM
• Rendering Workshop: July 29th, 4-5 PM
• How-To Instructable Workshop: Aug 4th, 4-5 PM

Overall of 19 prizes as follows:

• Grand Prize: One Grand Prize Winner will receive: $500 Digital Gift Card
• First Prize: Three winners will receive: $250 Digital Gift Card.
• Second Prize: Five winners will receive: $100 Digital Gift Card.
• Runner Up: Ten Runner Up Prize winners will receive: $50 Digital Gift Card.

1. Open to students attending high school, college and university in California.
2. All entries MUST use Fusion 360 in their design.
3. Submissions must be entered between Jun 28, 2021 and Aug 09, 2021 (11:59pm PT).
4. All entries require a passcode which can be found through your institution or the Discord channel (linked above)

Eligible projects:

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Jun 28, 2021 and Aug 9, 2021 (11:59pm PT).

Accepting:

Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time

Judging:

A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.

Winners:

When the winners are decided they will be announced here on the contest page. All entrants will be notified when this happens.

About Instructables:

Instructables is a place that lets you explore, document, and share your creations. The seeds of Instructables germinated at the MIT Media Lab as the future founders of Squid Labs built places to share their projects, connect with others, and make an impact on the world. One of these early places was a blog Zeroprestige, which was an open source hardware experiment for kitesurfing. Here they documented their hand-sewn kites, plywood boards, and other general mayhem that happens when PhDs and high winds collide.

Instructables was officially spun out of Squid Labs in the summer of 2006, and has gone on to grow from a modest hundreds of projects to over one hundred thousand. The community that now calls the site home, is an amazing mix of wonder from around the world. Every day we continue to be amazed by the imagination, curiosity, and simple awesomeness of everyone who shares their creations with us on Instructables.
