Opportunity description
Bo-it offers an international illustration competition for creative people with the opportunity to win € 800. BOit is an international illustration contest open to creative people from every background. The project wants to promote creative work and facilitate networking and exchange between artists, including non-professional artists.
Benefits
- The winner of the first prize Sconfinando Bologna will receive € 800 and a solo exhibition at the Millennium Gallery in Bologna at Palazzo Gnudi on a date to be determined (by May 2024).
- The winner of the second Prize Un segno d’impatto with the sponsorship of zeroCO2 will receive € 500,00
- The winner of the third Prize will receive a voucher to the value of 200€ for the purchase of fine arts instruments and materials.
- The winning illustrations will be published in the Annual 2024 Image Authors Association (AI), partner of the BOit International contest.
- The selected works, along with the three winning works, may receive special mentions and will be exhibited to the public in a collective exhibition. The selected artworks will also be published in a catalog and will circulate around Italy through a traveling exhibition in bookstores throughout 2023-24.
Eligibility criteria
- This international call is open to everyone, with no age limit and it is possible to participate individually or collectively. The jury will select 30 artworks, including three winners.
- The theme of this edition focuses on climate change and carbon neutrality. Along with 100 other cities, Bologna is selected to become a carbon-neutral city by 2030.

The BOit Competition is an international competition for creative people of all backgrounds that seeks to promote creative work and facilitate communication and cultural exchange between artists, including non-professional artists. Artists will be asked to submit an artistic vision of the city of Bologna that addresses the theme chosen for the competition.
