Workshop, Competition for Developers and a Chance to Win $5900 from Agorize

Agorize is calling on students, startups, and professionals to participate in a workshop; the Lyve Cloud Hackathon 2022, and a competition for developers to drive innovation in businesses with Seagate’s Lyve Cloud S3 service. If you have a solution that can make the collection and access to data easier for everyone, participate as an individual or in teams of 2-4 and will stand a chance to win up to $5900 in cash.

Challenge Statements:

• Building a middleware solution on top of Lyve Cloud that serves as media streaming server.
• Connecting other public cloud big data software stacks with Lyve Cloud.
• Building a data migration and movement solution from other Cloud vendors to Lyve Cloud.
• Creating a solution to connect Lyve Cloud’s audit logs to other public clouds.

If your work among the winner works, you will have:

• Grand Prize: $5900.
• Second Place Prize: $1470.
• Third Place Prize: $740.
• Participation Prize to winners from 4 to 8 place: 4TB HDD.

You should follow the following terms:

• This Challenge is open and offered solely to Students/Individuals who are legal residents of Singapore or Startups that are legally registered in Singapore.
• Student who:
• aged eighteen (18) years and/or with full legal capacity.
• is currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution.
• Or has recently graduated from a post-secondary institution less than 2 years before the current academic year, with a student card as verification. 
• Each student may only participate once in each Challenge. 
• If the participant is a minor, he/she must provide this authorization signed by a parent or guardian.
•  Individual Participant:
• Individuals aged eighteen (18) years and/or with full legal capacity at the time of registration.
• A business entity: Startups may be required to provide proof of:
• company registration by submitting a registration certificate issued within the last three (3) months.
• or ongoing company registration.
• or any trade registry and proof ensuring the registration of the entity in the relevant country.
• a valid professional insurance policy subscription.
•  This Challenge is not open to employees and representatives of the Sponsor and Agorize and the members of their families.
• This Challenge is void in countries where it is prohibited or restricted by law.
• Participation in the Challenge must be individual (Individual Participant), as a team or as a Startup.
• Individual Participants may elect to form a team (“Team”) of (2) to (4) members maximum.
• Teams are encouraged to select ONE challenge to work on.
• If you choose to work on multiple challenges, a separate submission is needed for each chosen statement.
• Deliverables must be in a common digital format, such as, DOC, DOCX, PDF, PPT, PPTX, KEY, ODT, MP3, MPEG, MOV, MP4, and be in English.
• Be the original work of the submitter, be solely owned by the submitter, and not violate the IP rights of any other person or entity.
• A Participant may submit more than one Submission.

Challenge Rounds: 

• Round One: Deliverables will be accepted from 14 March 2022 to 2 May, 2022. 
• Final Round: 6-8 May 2022, participants need to prepare demo and presentations to a panel.
• Hackathon Solutions Demo Day: 11 May 2022.
