Fully Funded PhD Scholarships in the Field of Mathematics from Swansea University in the UK

Swansea University offers a fully funded PhD scholarship in Mathematics, awarded within a research project which has been launched under the title; Multiscale Spatiotemporal Agent-Based Models with Continuous Traits (MUSTABM). The project is aimed to extend the developed methods to the case of continuous traits. Depending on your strengths and background, the emphasis may be put on the different levels of the multiscale paradigm: stochastic dynamics, (numerical) analysis of nonlocal equations, and mathematical modeling.

If you get this opportunity, you will have a scholarship covering:

• The full cost of UK tuition fees.
• An annual stipend of £17,668.
• Additional research expenses will also be available.

You should follow the following criteria:

• Candidates must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level or a master’s degree with a minimum overall grade at ‘Merit’ (or Non-UK equivalent). 
• English Language requirements: IELTS 6.0 Overall (with no individual component below 5.5) or Swansea recognized equivalent. 
• The mode of study is full-time.
• Project start date: 1 October 2023 (Enrollment open from mid-September).
• Due to funding restrictions, this scholarship is open to applicants eligible to pay tuition fees at the UK rate only.
