UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity to work in the media monitoring on women's achievements in Egypt for a period of 12 weeks. UN Women ECO is looking for one volunteer with good writing skills to support in the development of media updates and media coverage reports. Mainly, you are requested to monitor news that are published in both English and Arabic languages, and the communications unit will provide the template for the media update for reference.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Monitor news that are published in both English and Arabic languages.
- Support in the development of media updates and media coverage reports.
- On a monthly basis, you will:
- monitor the performance of UN Women ECO digital platforms.
- draft a digital monthly media monitoring report as per the template shared by the communication unit.
- Monitor the Egyptian news outlet and write brief daily reports.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Strong English writing skills.
- Basic knowledge of Arabic, to be able to monitor news/posts in both languages.
- Ability to develop an Excel sheet with relevant news links covering UN Women ECO’s events.
- Fluent in Arabic and English languages.
