Opportunity description

Filmfreeway announces the Miracle Makers International Film Festival. The Miracle Makers International Film Festival is a series of live events in Los Angeles aimed at encouraging "creators" of all kinds to believe in themselves, their work, their vision, their stories, and the power within them to do the impossible. The festival aims to discover creators who deserve to be spotlighted as it serves as a platform for emerging, undiscovered content creators for the world and other participants in the field to see.

Eligibility criteria

  • All entries will be judged based on their content, the amount of creativity in the submitted work, the images, the story, and the skill of the director. Entries produced during the period from 2015 to June 2023 will be accepted, as will current works. Acceptable movies must be viewed in an MPEG4 movie file.
  • All films accepted in MPEG4 must be submitted for exhibition.
  • Movies created online will not be accepted for display in the gallery.
  • Each entry must be submitted separately.
  • All entries must be submitted to the Miracle Makers Film Fest and must be secured for your own protection. Submitted MPEG4s and DCPs will not be returned. Please note that an MPEG4 backup is still required, in case you send a DCP.
  • Films and Screen Shows selected for the Miracle Makers Film Festival will be announced no later than June 22, 2023 (exceptions can be made if MMIFF deems it necessary).
  • All presentation materials (posters, postcards, promotional bag labels), presentation discs, MPEG4s, and DCPs for the Miracle Makers Film Fest must arrive at MMIFF offices no later than July 1, 2023. If screening files and screening discs are not received by this date The film will be withdrawn and disqualified.
  • All accepted applications must provide an MPEG4 file of the movie no later than July 1, 2023.
  • PAL-formatted discs will not be accepted.
  • Please notify the contest by e-mail of any changes in address.
  • Please note that MMIFF will not return or forward entries to applicants once the Festival has commenced (this includes thumb drives, DCPs, posters, postcards, or promotional materials).

  • All accepted filmmakers, who have submitted all materials required for participation, will be posted on the MMIFF website prior to the event. The submitting filmmakers represent that they have the legal right to display the film and the collateral/promotional materials at the Miracle Makers International Film Festival.
  • All filmmakers accepted to this competition agree by entering that MMIFF may use footage from their projects in order to promote the festival, film, or MMIFF event via television, web, and broadcast television. The individual or company submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to submit the film for screening, understands and accepts these requirements and regulations, and it shall indemnify and hold harmless Miracle Makers Film Fest, suppliers, and sponsors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including without limitation attorneys' fees and court costs) that may be incurred due to any claims relating to copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, examination, and loss of or damage to Submitted Videos.
  • The contest welcomes all types of entries.
  • One copy of the original feature film script as a PDF file will be accepted. (Do not include more than one version). The competition does not accept printed texts.
  • Only one copy or draft of any scenario may be submitted by the participant or participants per entry.
  • Corrected or edited submissions must be resubmitted as a new entry and will require a separate submission and entry fee.
  • Multipart scripts should be presented as separate, independent scenarios.
  • Participation fees will not be refunded or modified.
  • Entries must be originally written in English as translated works will not be accepted.
  • Entries must be the original work of the entrant(s) and may not be based, in whole or in part, on any other fictional or factual material, published or unpublished, produced or unproduced.
  • Please note that if the script is based on a true story, historical or contemporary, "Based on a true story/events" should be noted in the entry line.
  • All entries must be received by or before the extended deadline.
