Benefits
- No monetary rewards. Laurels will be given to films accepted and to winners of various categories. Winners and finalists will also receive Winner Laurels and Judge's Award Laurels for their films. Certificates will be sent to everyone via email who is chosen as a category winner or is a judge's award winner.
- There will be winners selected for various subclasses of animations.
- Depending on the number of films submitted and their nature, the festival reserves the right to create additional subcategories as we deem appropriate and to present awards in those categories as well.
Eligibility criteria
- Short films must be at least 1 minute long, but no longer than 30 minutes.
- There is no entry fee.
- Non-English Language Films must be subtitled in English for exhibition at the NAFCo Young Filmmakers Festival.
- All entries that are selected into the NAFCo Young Filmmakers Festival grant the festival the right to use any footage from the screener and all submitted publicity photos, key art, and any other materials sent pertaining to this entry for the festival’s promotional purposes, without limitations.
- Filmmakers retain all rights to their films.
- Submission to the festival is in no way a guarantee of acceptance or nomination into the festival.
