Online Competition to Design an Outdoor Pergola by Pratic and Desall with a Chance to Win €5,000

• All texts (abstract, description, tags, etc.) must be written in English.
• Participation in this competition is free and open to all talents of 18 years of age or over from all nationalities.
• Participants may submit one or more projects, but only projects posted on www.desall.com from the competition upload page will be accepted.
• A minimum of one photo of the entry, and up to 5 photos, must be submitted.
• Recommended dimensions for submitted photos are 960 x 720 pixels in .jpg, .gif, png format; Color: RGB.
• The maximum shared file size is 1 MB.
• The design must include integrated and innovative solutions to provide additional benefits in line with the culture of outdoor living.
• The basic components of the design should include:
  • Frame: Consists of structural elements that can be fixed directly to the ground or any movable base.
  • Drain cover:
    • It can be manually or motorized to open and close.
    • Designed to provide shade and/or protection against water.
    • Made of cloth or other suitable material.
    • It has a water drainage system.
• The structure of the pergola should be modular, allowing for dimensional variations or different product configurations.
• Please consider the technical and economic feasibility of the pergola.
• There are no specific restrictions on colors or surface finishes.
• Create visually appealing solutions that hide technical components and any other integrated devices, promoting seamless equipment integration.
• The company logo should be integrated into the product design. The logo can be found in the downloadable material files.
• The frame must be made of aluminum. Wood or any other non-recyclable materials are not allowed.
• The lid shall be designed with manual and/or motorized functions, allowing it to be opened and closed when required. The pergola can be powered by integrated photovoltaic cells or connected to the electricity grid.
• Please suggest a range of additional features, ideally integrated into the structure or as design accessories. These features should meet different usage scenarios in both private sectors and hospitality, restaurants, and cafes areas such as:
  • Breaks.
  • Living areas.
  • External offices.
  • Green spaces for ornamental plants and/or pot cultures.
  • Outdoor coffee break areas.
  • Meeting rooms.
  • etc.
