Online Competition in the Field of Low Key Imagery at Photocrowd Platform

The photocrowd platform offers an online competition in the field of low-profile photos. Low-key master images are dark and moody, usually underlit, and with a strong contrast between the overall dark color of the scene, and a few areas of the lit subject. This can be accomplished most easily in a controlled environment such as a studio, where a black background can be created, and the light source set up orthogonally. You can participate in this competition with any suitable theme, and the submitted images do not have to be in black and white, as the participating images can also be in color.

• The experts are some of the world’s finest photographers, who select the best images and provide valuable feedback to help you improve.

• Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submission period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
• It’s Expert-judged AND crowd-rated, with your score from each combined.
• The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
• After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favorite images and writes some image reviews.
