Malamegi Lab Foundation announces its online competition for artists of all levels in the field of contemporary art. The Malamegi LAB Competition is managed by the Malamegi Lab Creative Workshop and Aps Moho Association, under the mandate of Malamegi Corporation.
Benefits
- 12 finalists will be selected in this competition.
- One out of 12 finalists will receive an ARTWORK ACQUISITION award where their artwork will become part of Malamegi Lab's collection. The maximum prize purchase value is 2000,00 EUR. Artworks that are not intended for sale or whose price exceeds the Acquisition Prize will not be eligible for this prize, but will still be able to win one of the other prizes.
- 12 artists will be selected to attend the final exhibition of the competition, which will be attended by leading artists, curators, critics, journalists and the media.
- One of the 12 shortlisted artists will receive a cash prize of €1,000.00, which will be awarded based on the quality and originality of the work on display. The winning work will remain the property of the artist as this award is a contribution to the development of their artwork.
- One finalist will receive a monographic catalogue, which will be curated by Malamegi Lab, with the support of the curators of the final exhibition. The book will be edited, developed, printed and distributed at the expense of Malamegi Laboratory. Aside from the copies being distributed, other copies will be added for the artist's personal use. About 100 copies of the catalog will be printed, 20 of which will be left to the artist.
Eligibility criteria
- The competition aims to promote artists and participants, and provide them with the opportunity to actively engage in the field of art and decoration.
- Entries will be accepted in the following areas:
- Coloring
- Photography
- Sculpture
- Digital Posts
- Videos
- Graphics
- Other (all visual works that can be reproduced through pictures are permitted).
- Participation fees are:
- One artwork = 45,00 euros
- Two artworks = 75,00 euros
- 3 artworks = 105,00 euros
- 4 artworks = 125,00 euros
- 5 artworks = 140,00 euros
- 6 artworks = 150.00 euros
- Registration fees can be paid via credit/debit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
- Winning artists will be contacted directly by Malamegi Lab for all appropriate arrangements once selections are finalized. The names of the winning artists will be published on the competition’s official website (www.lab.malamegi.com) on December 12, 2023.
- Malamegi Lab reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition, if necessary in order to better develop the competition.
- The competition targets professional and amateur artists, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and others from all over the world.
