Opportunity description
The University of East Anglia announces an online music competition for new and existing students at the University. The University of East Anglia's Music Center awards a number of Music Center Awards each year to new and existing students who demonstrate exceptional musical achievement. The awards are given to musicians using any instrument, voice or style – including various national acts. The competition aims to encourage students to develop their musical and leadership skills and contribute to the advancement of music at the University of East Anglia.
Benefits
- The prizes are worth £800 per year.
- Smaller prizes may be awarded for outstanding work even if a participant does not meet the required criteria to encourage them to develop and participate again the following year.
- The winner is expected to use the prize money to develop his or her musical skills and resources.
- Awards are awarded for one year, but if a winner wishes to continue participating and can demonstrate to the competition judges that they have made significant contributions during that year, they can re-test the following year and the award may be renewed.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants from all educational backgrounds can apply for this competition.
- You do not need to pass the eighth grade or any other test to apply for this competition.
