Online Photography Competition in Bokeh Technique at PhotoCrowd

PhotoCrowd offers an online photography competition in Bokeh Technique. This lovely Japanese word often warrants a definition to kick things off. The Wikipedia page describes Bokeh as ‘the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in out-of-focus parts of an image’ and also as ‘the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light’. Different lenses work differently, and so you can see this as a good way to get to know yours better.

• It’s Expert-judged AND crowd-rated, with your score from each combined. Find out more about ranking points here. Experts are some of the world’s finest photographers, who select the best images and provide valuable feedback to help you improve.

• Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submission period has ended.
• You can see all the images uploaded to the competition but you will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins.
• Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. After the submission period closes the judge chooses their favorite images and writes some image reviews.
• The crowd and judge results will be announced on the same day.
