Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers program offers an online volunteer opportunity in the field of graphic design for documents. You will be responsible for helping to design the blueprints for OCHA's Global Communications and Support Strategy 2024-2026. This document will guide OCHA's outreach efforts to strengthen global humanitarian responses. The design must be clear, attractive and consistent with OCHA brand guidelines. You must be proficient in using Adobe InDesign. This design will help effectively communicate OCHA's strategic objectives and initiatives over the coming years.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Gather necessary content and brand guidelines to understand the scope and tone of the communications plan.
- Create an initial design in Adobe InDesign, and discuss it with your point of contact or communications team to get the necessary initial feedback.
- Improving and finalizing designs based on comments and agreed specifications.
- Adhere to the company's design guidelines, which will be provided to the volunteer in advance.
- Note: This volunteer opportunity is not only an opportunity to contribute to the organization's communication strategy but also an opportunity to showcase your design skills within a professional environment.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Professional experience in the field of graphic design.
- Previous experience designing document layouts.
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Degree in graphic design or any related field.
- It is preferable to be familiar with the basics of the English language.
