Opportunity description
The United Nations Interim Force for Abyei (UNISFA) Strategic and Media Liaison Office is looking for online volunteers to support UNISFA social media channels on X, Instagram and Facebook, with content writing, graphic design and infographics in accordance to brand guidelines. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring UNISFA's social media strategy in order to enhance brand awareness and engage the target audience. You will work closely with the Public Information team to ensure the office's ongoing and effective online presence.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with UNISFA's various activities.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging social media platforms.
- Create engaging, original, high-quality content for social media posts, including text, images, videos, and infographics.
- Schedule content publishing and ensure it is published consistently across all social media platforms.
- Monitor and moderate content posted by users and interact with the online community.
- Establishing strong relationships with the online audience.
- Implement various strategies to increase followers, likes, shares and other relevant engagement metrics.
- Actively participate in relevant online conversations and other trending topics.
- Use social media analytics tools to track performance and gather insights into audience behavior and preferences.
- Create regular reports to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and recommend necessary improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Campaign management.
- Stay up to date on changes in social media algorithms, policies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in social media activities.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Previous experience in social media, communications, campaigns or strategy development.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Good knowledge of online marketing tools and channels.
- A degree in marketing, marketing management, communications, or any of the related fields.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- It is preferable to be fluent in English.
