United Nations Volunteers programme is offering an online volunteer opportunity: Graphic Design: Support for women journalists in Somali.
Duration:
12 weeks / 16 - 20 hours
Duties & responsibilities
- Weekly training on graphic design using Canva and other online tools for Bilan media journalists and SWoMP project team members
- Ad-hoc guidance to Bilan journalists and project team members on graphic design
- Creation of templates to promote Bilan Media’s reporting, such as quote cards for interviewees, adverts for upcoming talk-shows etc, in line with Bilan’s existing branding
- Creation of promotional materials for Bilan media and the SWoMP project annual report and promotional and funding pitches, or as required.
- Creation of advocacy materials calling for better workplace treatment of women in Somalia
Eligibility criteria
Required experience:
- Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design and use of online design tools, including Canva, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in training and a degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset
Languages:
- English, Level: Fluent, Required
- Somali, Level: Fluent, Desirable
