Opportunity description

Salto invites youth to a workshop on the topic of gender equality and gender-based discrimination. Ofensiva Tinerilor is offering this spring a face-to-face Thematic Awareness Training on the topic of gender equality and gender-based discrimination. It intends to involve a group of 24 youth workers coming from different Erasmus + Program Countries and Partner Countries Neighboring the EU who are interested to be familiar with methods that can be used by youth workers and teachers to promote tolerance and promote a more inclusive learning environment between youth.

Benefits

If you join this workshop, you will have Erasmus+ grant that covers:

  • Accommodation, meals, and training materials.
  • Travel reimbursement per participant:
  • For travel distances between 100 and 499 KM: 180 EUR.
  • For travel distances between 500 and 1999 KM: 275 EUR.
  • For travel distances between 2000 and 2999 KM: 360 EUR.
  • For travel distances between 3000 and 3999 KM: 530 EUR.
  • Accommodation will be in a hotel in rooms of 2 or 3 persons with the training room nearby and access to the internet.
  • You are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organizer, for recognition of your competence development during the activity.

Eligibility criteria

You should follow the following criteria:

  • Training is recommended for Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, Youth policy makers, Volunteering mentors, Youth coaches, Youth researchers.
  • This activity and venue place are accessible to people with disabilities.
  • No participation fee.
  • Interested participants must have a sending organization to be eligible to participate in the course.
  • The working methods are non formal and based on a peer education approach. 
  • The training course will be organized for 7 full working days, additional 2 travel days are planned for each participant.

About SALTO-YOUTH:

SALTO-YOUTH is a network of seven Resource Centers working on European priority areas within the youth field. As part of the European Commission's Training Strategy, SALTO-YOUTH provides non-formal learning resources for youth workers and youth leaders and organizes training and contact-making activities to support organizations and National Agencies (NAs). It works within the Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps programs.
